Competition: Win 1 of 5 Signed Copies of The Casual Vacancy and a R500 Shopping Voucher

It may be the most anticipated book of the decade: JK Rowling is bringing out her first book for adults on the 27th of September!

When Barry Fairbrother dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock.

Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty facade is a town at war.

Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils… Pagford is not what it first seems.

And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?

Blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising, The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults.

That’s strange not one single winner posted their comments here since the 25th Sept until 5 October.

Failed to see how this was supposed to be entered … if not based on the above comments and their direct email undisclosed addresses. What did I miss ?

The Casual Vacancy competition was not blog-based, but run through our website through dragging the special Casual Vacancy sticker onto the product. The entry is then automatic and added to our database. Our apologies for the misunderstanding.
