Toxic Bunny is back in glorious HD! The world’s most highly caffeinated rabbit is back and ready to do some damage. To celebrate the re-release of Toxic Bunny HD, we are giving away two Toxic Bunny Hampers!
The competition opens on Friday 26 October, winners will be announced on Friday 02 November. Make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before entering. Toxic Bunny is Proudly South African!
Follow Toxic as he tries to find the person responsible for interrupting his coffee break, brainwashing all his friends and covering the planet with decaffeinated goo. Dodge jump fight and think your way through various decaffeinated CFC’s (cute fluffy critters) including one Semi-visible Predator Chicken in your quest to get someone to pay for your dry-cleaning. A must have for fans of the classic platform game, it even has a few added twists. Show general disregard for public safety by firing the Nitric Hamster Launcher (the only known weapon to guarantee a fatality).
Developer, Travis Bulford from Celestial Games, gave us the inside scoop on the game and what it took to bring Toxic Bunny back to life:
The original Toxic Bunny was released in November 1996 here in South Africa. It was released internationally early the next year. Globally about 150000 units were sold. There were 4 people in the original team 2 of whom are still involved in the HD remake. Building computer games
is a great deal of fun, even though it requires a lot of dedication and hard work. Toxic Bunny HD has been more work then the original was in terms of hours and effort.
The Toxic Bunny HD team works from our offices in Northcliff there are 7 members in the team including one part time. The game took 2 years to remake although there was a lot of tinkering before we got serious about it. – Travis Bulford
Here’s a video we found showing what the original Toxic Bunny looked like:
