The new-look Exclusive Books Hyde Park now open

As a regular Exclusive Books customer we wanted you to be amongst the first to know that we have recently revamped our Hyde Park store and it is open for trading (Monday, 24 October 2011). This means more space for you to relax and browse through our fantastic selection of the latest books and of course the classics you have come to expect.

Just a reminder that we have also launched our new range of educational toys for the little ones. These educational toys have been hand-picked for children and have already been shown to help children think more, learn more and explore more.

Exclusive Books has always been about that special bonding time with our children and with Melissa & Doug at Exclusive Books this will make even playtime more special.

We hope that you will enjoy your shopping at our lovely new store.

Sincerely,

The Fanatics Team

Nice to have all that new room and space to browse and read and think! And good, challenging toys for little ones while Mom reads! Congrats!

    Hi Guys,

As a long time patron of Exclusive Books in hyde park, I would like to register my disappointment at the renovations. You have changed the flagship branch into a shadow of its former self that barely competes with the Sandton City branch, let alone Sandton square. There is not enough space for sitting, sections are poorly organised and demarcated, you have removed the graphic novels section (where i spent a good portion of my childhood), and you have stolen the soul of the shop by making the children’s section smaller, and less accessible.

I was heartbroken to see what you have done to the store. I wish Sandton Square all the best as the new flagship branch of Exclusive Books.

    Thanks

    Hi dan,

Thank you very much for your comment.

The books industry is dynamic and changing very quickly and we are diversifying to an extent in order to test the market. Keeping this in mind our Hyde Park renovations were done in order to meet the changing needs of our customers.

This necessitated changes in the look and feel of the branch.

We hope you will continue your patronage of Exclusive Books and we thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

hi can you tell me if the Seattle coffee store is operational yet?

      Hi,
Thank you for stopping by the blog. Seattle is not directly affiliated with the Exclusive Books brand, and it will be up to the store manager for that particular Seattle Coffee as to their opening date. But we have it on good authority that their renovations will not take much longer!

No matter what, SANDTON is vile.
